What is the U.D.A.Y. Block System?

U.D.A.Y. stands for Uniform Directional Absolute Y-axis — a price-structure framework developed for systematic trading of equities, indices, and derivatives.

The Core Law: 1 Minute = 50 Ticks.

Every block on a PriceVsTime chart represents a fixed, absolute unit of price movement — not a fixed unit of time. A block is sized at 50 instrument ticks per minute of timeframe, scaling cleanly from sub-second views all the way up to weekly charts. This one principle changes everything:

No wicks. No shadows. Every block is a clean, confirmed move. If it printed, it was real.
Absolute grid. Price levels are fixed to a universal grid — the same level always looks the same, across every timeframe and every instrument.
Zero-handicap reversals. A block reversal requires the same size move as the original block. No asymmetry between buyers and sellers.
Per-instrument tick scaling. Block size auto-scales to each instrument's tick — Bitcoin, Nifty, a $30 stock, or a 0.6 EUR/USD pair all get sensibly-sized blocks from the same law.
Consistent scaling. Block size grows linearly with the timeframe — 5s, 15s and 30s for scalpers, up through 1m, 5m, 1h, 1d and 1w for swing and positional structure.

Why U.D.A.Y. Blocks Instead of Candles?

Traditional candlestick charts mix two variables — price and time — in a way that constantly distorts both. U.D.A.Y. blocks separate price from time entirely. You see what price actually did — not what a time window happened to capture.
